Privacy Policy

Who is responsible
This website belongs to Rodwater Faith Ministries. Rodwater Faith Ministries is the data controller for the ministry’s use of personal information described in this notice. Contact: info@rodwaterfaithministries.com. Ministry address: Via Dell' Appeso 1, 44123 Ferrara, Italy. This notice covers this website; other ministry activities may require additional information.
Information and purposes
We handle information you voluntarily send by email, including your contact details and enquiry, to answer you and arrange requested ministry services. Website delivery and security providers process technical request information, such as network address, browser and device information, to deliver pages and prevent abuse. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
Legal bases
We rely on consent for optional website measurements; legitimate interests for ordinary enquiries, reliable website operation and proportionate abuse prevention; steps requested before an agreement where applicable; and legal obligations where records are required by law. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Consent can be withdrawn without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Sensitive information and pastoral enquiries
Church enquiries, photographs and prayer requests may reveal religious beliefs, and messages may contain health or other sensitive information. Do not send confidential pastoral, health, financial or identity information through public interactive features. Contact the ministry privately to discuss an appropriate channel. Where special-category information is needed, an applicable legal condition, such as explicit consent or the safeguards for a religious not-for-profit body, is required in addition to a legal basis. Attendance alone is not permission for public identification or publication.
Website measurements and your choices
Analytics is off until you allow it through Analytics choices in the footer. Measurements include page visits, tab sessions, broad referral or campaign sources, device categories, approximate country, video starts, sampled active seconds, sharing actions and selected link clicks. The ministry stores grouped counts for up to 180 days, without names, IP addresses, full referring URLs or visitor identifiers. The service uses request information to derive approximate country. Your analytics preference is stored on your device. Change it through the footer to stop future measurements; previous grouped counts cannot be attributed to you.
Hosting, service providers and external media
We use external providers for website hosting, security, storage, email and, where enabled, AI responses and sign-in. They may process information necessary to provide and protect those services. They do not own the ministry or this website’s ministry content. YouTube/Google, Facebook/Meta and map services may receive technical information when external images, embeds or maps load, or when you open their links. External services apply their own privacy terms and may use cookies or similar technologies. A link is not an endorsement of a provider’s information practices. Contact us for information about the providers involved in your request.
Optional AI assistant
If Ask Rodwater is enabled and you send a question, your message, up to six recent conversation turns and relevant public ministry information are sent to an external AI provider to generate an answer. The ministry website does not save the conversation in its content database; the provider may process request data under its applicable service terms. Clearing chat removes it from the current interface. Abuse-prevention counters use a hashed network address and are removed after seven days when the feature is used. The assistant can make mistakes and is not a confidential pastoral or emergency service.
Cookies and device storage
The website stores your analytics choice and may use browser storage for interface preferences and session measurements when consent is given. Hosting, security and owner sign-in may require essential cookies. External media providers may set their own cookies. You can manage browser storage in your browser settings; blocking essential technologies may prevent some features from working. Optional ministry analytics requires a separate opt-in.
Tithes and bank transfers
Giving is by bank transfer from your own banking service. This public website does not collect card details, initiate bank payments or store your banking credentials. The ministry and its bank may receive transfer and donor information to reconcile gifts and maintain records required by law. Your bank’s privacy terms also apply.
Photographs, videos and children
Ministry photographs and broadcasts may include identifiable people. Contact us to raise a publication concern or request review or removal of an image of you or a child in your care. We assess requests and any applicable legal duties; copies shared on external platforms may need a separate request to that platform. This site does not offer public accounts for children or seek their sensitive information. Parents and guardians should contact the ministry about children’s activities and image permissions.
Retention and security
We retain enquiries and ministry records only as long as needed for their purpose, applicable legal duties or legitimate claims; the period depends on the record. Website measurements and AI abuse counters have the limits stated above. Hosting and external providers may retain operational or security records under their own terms. Access to Studio and connected reports is restricted to the owner. Reasonable safeguards reduce risk, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed secure.
International processing
Service providers may process information outside Italy and the European Economic Area. Where European data-protection law requires a transfer safeguard, an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses must cover the transfer. Contact us for details of the transfer arrangements relevant to your information. This notice does not promise a particular hosting country.
Your rights and complaints
Subject to applicable conditions, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your information, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Write to info@rodwaterfaithministries.com; we may request proportionate information to verify identity. We normally respond within one month; a lawful extension may apply for complex requests. You can complain to the Italian Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it) or another competent EU supervisory authority. You do not have to contact us before complaining. The website does not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects solely through automated processing.
Changes and contact
We update this notice when practices change. The date above identifies the current version. Privacy enquiries and requests: info@rodwaterfaithministries.com.
